UGGC & Associés legal counsel of AXIMUM in the increase of its share capital
The former high technology subsidiary of Safran, Sagemcom, under an LBO since its assignment to the American Gores Group investment fund in 2007, had been seeking to separate itself from its inner-city road systems activity for some time. Deemed as non-strategic, this activity has eventually been assigned to Aximum, a subsidiary of road infrastructure giant Colas.

This sale, the amount of which remains confidential, has required the carrying out of a carve-out in order to unite the 94 employees and the entirety of the production assets - creating 17 million euros in turnover for 2009 - under the same legal entity.

It will soon be integrated to the Aximum Produits Electroniques subsidiary, the accounting records of which showed an income of 27.7 million euros for 2009, for a net loss of 0.7 million euros. The new entity will total 270 employees, located in Chatou, Yvelines, the buyer is continuing its development in the securing of trunk roads, by acquiring know-how regarding the running of traffic lights, intersection controllers, collapsible bollards, parking meters, camera surveillance equipment etc. Its income for last year was 340 million euros, with 2000 employees.
